Usher in the New Year 2013 in Spokane
The city of Spokane with a population of about 200,000 inhabitants in the eastern part of the state of Washington is the center of a region whose landscape of steppe-like areas gradually merges with the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. The economic mainstay of the region is farming and wine production and some of their products are offered for sale here. Throughout downtown Spokane, First Night Spokane will be organizing a variety of family friendly New Year’s Eve events at various locations. With piano, comedy, juggling, etc. the live variety show at the INB Performing Arts Center that features some very talented performers will enchant you. The 5 kilometer Resolution run is a good start to the New Year for those who are health conscious. There will be free skating at the Ice Palace in the heart of Riverfront Park. At the stroke of midnight there will be a fireworks show at Riverfront Park to crown the celebrations.
